Ten new CBC News jobs in Calgary were posted this morning. These, presumably, are part of the people given back to Alberta after CBC moved — er, “reconfigured” — CBC Newsworld programming from Calgary to Toronto: 4 reporter/editors Video-journalist 4 videgraphers Switcher-Director In what I’m sure is just a coincidence, only two positions are posted for Toronto this morning: Specialist in “Contract Management” Specialist in Automation

South Korean President Lee Myung-bak could bring President George W. Bush good news this week about a long-running beef spat that has held up a free trade pact between the two countries, a U.S. business leader and senior Bush administration official said on Tuesday.

The next Democratic government will receive a contracting economy and there may be little they can do to reverse historical trends. Like Carter's administration, the next administration will pay for the excesses of the previous Republican administration and be blame for them.

HARARE, ZIMBABWE (Apr 4, 2008) -- Intruders ransacked offices of the main opposition party and police detained foreign journalists yesterday in an ominous sign that President Robert Mugabe might turn to intimidation and violence in trying to stave off an electoral threat to his 28-year rule.
